BEAT Eating Disorder Charity
BEAT have some really helpful pages with information and resources for getting help. They can help you find help either online or in your area. BEAT is recommended by therapists as a helpful resource.
NHS Website
The NHS website gives a straightforward description of symptoms, advice, and a brief overview of therapy options in the UK.
MIND Charity
Mind are a great charity who can provide access to mental health more generally as well as providing some information and resources for eating disorders more specifically.
SEED Charity
SEED are a charity organisation based in Hull but
operate out of area. They provide support for those with an eating disorder and those looking to help care for someone with an eating disorder.
NIWE Eating Distress Service
NIWE are a North East based service who provide help to those with eating problems and provide training to other institutions to help them support people with disordered eating.
National Centre for Eating Disorders
The National Centre for Eating Disorders offers advice and counselling to people with eating disorders and carers of those with eating disorders. They also provide information and training for proffessionals.
Young Minds
Young Minds provides information, especially suited for young people. They have a section on how to get help and support for both eating disorders and other mental health conditions.
Anorexia and Bulimia Care
The organisation provides a support line as well as a advice for family and friends. They also offer professional training for GPs and other medical workers.
